HTC’s One series, Samsung Galaxy Beam, and Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 to be launched in India in April
Officially announced at MWC 2012 last month, the HTC One X, One S and One V are expected to be released in Europe starting April. That’s also the month when the three new smartphones will be reportedly launched in India, the world’s second largest mobile market.
According to The Mobile Indian, HTC India’s country manager has confirmed that “HTC will be launching Android Ice Cream Sandwich based smartphones One X, One V and One S in Singapore on March 30, and in first week of April they would be available in Indian market.”
For the moment, there’s no word on the prices of the new handsets for the Indian market, but it’s said that HTC is in talks with Aircel, the country’s seventh largest mobile carrier (even though it serves more than 60 million users), to sell the smartphones with bundled data offers.
Another two new Andorid devices that are bound to be introduced in India in April are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (with Android 4.0 ICS), and the new Samsung Galaxy Beam (pictured above), which runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and has a built-in projector.
