Samsung Galaxy S Advance and Galaxy Pocket launched in India
By Florin on 17 Apr 12Samsung has introduced two new Android smartphones in India, the world’s second largest mobile market. The two handsets are the Galaxy S Advance i9070, and the Galaxy Pocket, both officially announced a few months ago.
The Samsung Galaxy S Advance costs 26,900 INR (about $522), coming with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 768MB of RAM, 1GHz dual-core processor, and 8GB of internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Pocket (pictured on the left) is much cheaper: only 8,150 INR ($158). It also runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, featuring a 2.8 inch QVGA display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 2MP rear camera, an 832MHz processor, and 3GB of storage space.
