LG Optimus 2X Android 4.0 ICS update now scheduled for Q3?
Back in December, LG announced that some of its smartphones would get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in 2012, mentioning that updates for the Optimus 2X should start rolling-out in the second quarter of 2012. Unfortunately for those who have the Optimus 2X, it looks like their update won’t arrive that soon.
According to LG Mobile Singapore, the “ICS upgrade will be available for the Optimus 2X in Q3 this year.” That means anywhere between July and September.
For the moment, it’s not clear what will happen to the other handsets for which LG promised ICS updates for Q2 (Optimus LTE, Optimus Sol, LG Prada Phone 3.0, LG Eclipse, and LG myTouch Q). But we’ll let you know as soon as we get new details.
