HTC Ville C to be a cheaper version of the One S
The HTC Desire C that was announced yesterday (and is now up for pre-order in the UK) apparently isn’t the last Android smartphone that HTC will release in the near future. Nor is it the only one to have the letter ‘C’ suffixed to its name.
Intrigued? The HTC Ville C’s existence was leaked to BriefMobile. This will purportedly be a cheaper variation of the One S, the company’s slimmest smartphone yet. Oh, and the Ville C will apparently somehow manage to be even slimmer than the One S.
Keep in mind that ‘Ville’ was the codename that HTC used internally for the One S before its release, so it’s almost certain that the Ville C will launch bearing another name. One C perhaps? Time will tell.
Anyway, the HTC Ville C will run Android 4.0 with Sense 4.5 (so a newer version than what’s currently on the One line), and will have a 4.3-inch qHD (540×960) AMOLED touchscreen, 1 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of built-in storage space. The processor will be a dual-core Qualcomm clocked at 1.2 GHz (the 1.7 GHz listing in the image above supposedly being a typo).
The Ville C will have an 8 MP camera (which may just be the same exact unit used in both the One S and One X), and a 1,650 mAh battery.
As the Ville C’s announcement date approaches, expect many more rumors and leaks about it to pop up. And we’ll be here to report on them for you.
