Nokia PureView 808 might be released in the UK on June 21

It looks like the Nokia PureView 808 may not be delayed until July in the UK after all. Amazon UK is currently saying that the handset is due to be released “on June 21”, and obviously allows interested customers to pre-order it. The retailer is asking £499.98 for a SIM-free 808 – that’s about €625, or $778.

As you may already know, the PureView 808 is arguably the best camera phone ever made. It offers a 41MP sensor with Carl Zeiss optics and Nokia’s PureView imaging technology (which will make it soon to new devices). Other features include Belle OS, a 4 inch ClearBlack AMOLED display with 640 x 360 pixels, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 1.3 GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and 16GB of internal memory.

Already shipping in some markets (including Russia and India), the Nokia PureView 808 should be released in the US, too, but only unlocked (hence there’s no mobile carrier interested in selling it there).
