New Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with 5.5 inch screen expected to be launched in October
Having sold more than 7 million Galaxy Notes until now, Samsung is likely confident that a successor to the 5.3 inch handset would also be a hit.
If UbuntuLife’s information is accurate, the next Note will be called Galaxy Note 2, and should be released in October. Apparently, the Note will be a bit larger than the current model, sporting a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED PenTile display with 1680 x 1050 pixels. Other expected features: LTE connectivity, 1.5GB of RAM, and a dual-core Exynos 5250 processor (clocked at 1.7Ghz or higher). Software enhancements should include stuff like S Beam, S Voice, and SmartStay (these are already found on the Galaxy S III).
Design-wise, it’s said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will resemble the Galaxy S III, possibly looking like in the mockup seen below:
Assuming it’s going to be launched in October, the new Galaxy Note 2 would arrive on the market exactly one year after the first model. We’ll let you know when more details about this show up.
