Google Nexus 7 pre-orders have started shipping in the US
While the Google Nexus 7 didn’t hit the shelves yesterday (as we heard it might happen a couple of days ago), those who’ve pre-ordered it should expect to get the tablet starting today.
Droid-life has it directly from Google that “the first wave of orders are going out today, and all pre-orders are scheduled to ship within the next 3 business days.” Pre-orders have started shipping not only from Google’s Play Store, but also from Office Depot, and Gamestop.
Announced at the end of June as Google’s first tablet, the Nexus 7 is manufactured by Asus, and features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 7 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, Chrome browser, NFC, 1.2MP front-facing camera, and 1GB of RAM. Its 8GB version costs $199.99, while the 16GB one can be yours for $249.99.
