Samsung Omnia M goes on pre-order in the UK as the Omnia Minuet, yours for £249.98
Samsung’s new entry level Windows Phone is finally about to become available in the UK. Tailor-made for Europe, the Samsung S7530 has so far been referred to as the Omnia M. Yet bizarrely in the UK it goes by the name Omnia Minuet. Or maybe that’s a typo. We’ll see.
What you need to know is that the Omnia M (or Omnia Minuet) is now up for pre-order for £249.98. That might seem like reasonable pricing, but it’s not. Remember, this is an entry-level device. Somewhere in between the Nokia Lumia 610 and the Lumia 710, spec-wise. And both of those are a lot cheaper.
So maybe Samsung’s hoping you’ll pay more for its brand. Or something like that. Anyway, in case you’re interested in picking one up, Unlocked Mobiles is the spot you need to head to. Deliveries should start on August 27, so there’s more than a month of waiting still left for you to do before you can actually fondle the Omnia Minuet.
The Samsung Omnia M(inuet) has a 1 GHz single-core processor, 384 MB of RAM, a 5 MP camera, a 4-inch Super AMOLED 480×800 touchscreen, 4 GB of storage space, and all the usual connectivity options. It runs Windows Phone 7.5.
