Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch headed to Boost Mobile
Sprint’s version of yesteryear’s flagship Samsung smartphone, aptly dubbed Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch, is on its way to Boost Mobile. This being one of Sprint’s prepaid brands, that hardly comes as a surprise. In fact, if anything it’s quite surprising that it took this long for this to happen.
But anyway, if you’re a Boost customer you’ll soon be able to get your grubby mitts on 2011’s best smartphone. As for this year’s… well, maybe if you could somehow persuade US carriers not to think of prepaid customers as second class citizens.
The Epic 4G Touch for Boost was spotted by Phandroid in a user agent profile on Sprint’s servers. It has the model number SPH-D710BST. Since the SPH-D710 was Sprint’s Epic 4G Touch, the rest is obvious.
In case you’re wondering, everything about Boost’s Epic 4G Touch will be identical to the phone Sprint has sold. So no surprises there.
As for when this will get released and how much it will cost, stay tuned. It’s probably only a matter of time before we find out.
