Samsung Galaxy Lightray 4G with Android and Dyle TV available now at MetroPCS
The Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G that we told you about last week is available in the US at MetroPCS starting today. The handset runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and is the first in the US to provide access to Dyle mobile TV (you can check out a coverage map here).
The Lightray isn’t a high-end device, but it still has decent features, including a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, LTE (with Mobile Hotspot capability), Wi-Fi, GPS, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 1GHz single-core processor.
MetroPCS is selling the new smartphone for $459 plus tax (no contract required).
Later this year, MetroPCS will launch quite many other new Android handsets, including the high-end Samsung Galaxy S III (already available via all major American carriers).
