Virgin Mobile launches Samsung Entro flip phone and Samsung Montage with sliding QWERTY keyboard
Virgin Mobile has announced a couple of new Samsung phones that it’s adding to its prepaid lineup. They’re both feature phones, so they should appeal to those who are still scared of smartphones (or the data plans they usually require). The Samsung Entro and Samsung Montage are both low-end offerings, and thankfully they’re both cheap.
The Samsung Entro is already available online and through independent retailers for just $14.99. This is a typical flip phone from a few years back, sporting a 1.77-inch main display (obviously not a touchscreen), a secondary external color display, and supports text messaging and voicemail. So as basic as a phone can get nowdays. But given that the price mentioned above requires no long term commitment whatsoever, what did you expect?
Next up we have the Samsung Montage. Strangely, only the low-res image you see below is available at this time. The Montage prides itself in the side-sliding QWERTY keyboard that it features, alongside a 2 MP camera with video recording support, Bluetooth, a microSD slot, email and Web access, and an MP3 and video player.
The Samsung Montage is available right now for $49.99 online, and will be in stores later this month.
