Motorola won’t be announcing the Droid RAZR HD on Friday after all
For the better part of the last 24 hours, we’ve been hoping that Motorola will finally officially introduce the RAZR HD this Friday. That’s because the phone maker started a teaser campaign yesterday on its Facebook page, where it said it would let us guess its new device until Friday, when it would make the big reveal. Naturally, we assumed that it was the Droid RAZR HD, since that’s been leaked countless times so far over the past few months.
But it looks like it was all about the Atrix HD, which is already available at AT&T. We know this because today’s ‘clue‘ about the ‘mystery’ device is that it has a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, and is already on the market in the US. Just one Moto device fits that profile right now: the Atrix HD.
Why Motorola would let us think it’s going to announce a new smartphone at first is still the mystery here. But it is what it is. If you’re waiting for the Droid RAZR HD, it looks like you’ll have to figure out how to be even more patient somehow.
