LG Optimus Zip with Android and QWERTY keyboard coming to TracFone
Prepaid US carrier TracFone has unveiled that it’s going to launch the LG Optimus Zip, and Android smartphone which features a full sliding QWERTY keyboard.
The Zip seems to be a re-branded LG Enlighten (already released by Verizon, as well as by Virgin Mobile – under the name “Optimus Slider”).
The handset runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and features a 3.2 inch HVGA display, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, an 800MHz processor, 3.2MP rear camera, and MicroSD card support.
For the moment, there’s no word on exactly when the Optimus Zip will be available at TracFone, and neither for what price. TracFone’s website is currently down, so we can’t look for more details there.
