Nokia Asha 311 will be released in India this week
Nokia is now ready to start selling its cheap Asha 311 touchscreen phone in India – the world’s second largest mobile market.
Announced in June as Nokia’s flagship Asha Touch handset, the 311 should go on sale in India on August 12 (this Sunday). It will cost 7,130 INR, which is about $129, or €105.
Although it’s not a smartphone, the Asha 311 promises to provide a “smartphone-like experience.” Its features include a 3 inch display with 400 x 240 pixels, HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Nokia Browser 2.0, 40 free EA games, 3.2MP rear camera, 1GHz processor, and a 2GB memory card pre-installed.
Another new Nokia Asha handset – the dual SIM Asha 305 – has been introduced in India last month for only 4,668 INR.
