Acer CloudMobile pre-orders start in the UK for £284.99, shipping on September 5
The Acer CloudMobile is finally up for pre-order in the UK. This is Acer’s latest Android-powered smartphone, and it was announced all the way back in February during MWC. It was supposed to enter the market in August, but it’s apparently encountered a short delay.
The CloudMobile can now be pre-ordered at Expansys. It’s going to cost you just £284.99, which we hope is not a typo. Expansys doesn’t list any specs yet, so we’re also hoping that the initially unveiled hardware didn’t change.
Why? Well, because according to what Acer said in February, the CloudMobile should come with a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, a 4.3-inch 720p HD touchscreen, 1 GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 8 GB of built-in storage, and microSD support. It will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
With those specs at this price, the CloudMobile is going to be an absolute steal. Expansys expects to start shipping it on September 5, so in just over three weeks.
