Leaked Nokia document shows the differences between Windows Phone 8 and WP 7.8
While Microsoft has already made it clear that only some of Windows Phone 8’s features will be included in Windows Phone 7.8, it didn’t offer a complete list of the differences between the two new versions of its mobile OS.
Luckily, Smartphone France has uncovered a document that seemingly belongs to Nokia, and lists the features that are missing from WP 7.8. These are:
- Over-the-air updates
- Support for screen resolutions higher than WVGA
- Internet Explorer 10
- Multi-core processor support
- Windows Phone Wallet
- NFC
- Real multitasking
- MicroSD card support
- Device Management
- Company Hub
- Secure Boot and Encryption
Windows Phone 7.8 will be launched as an update to current WP7 devices later this year. New (and affordable) hardware running it might also be introduced.
