LG plans to launch the Optimus Vu with LTE in the US this quarter

While announcing that its Optimus Vu has passed 500,000 units sold in South Korea, LG also unveiled that it intends to launch an LTE version of it in the US. The LTE-capable Optimus VU should be released Stateside before the end of this quarter (hence in September the latest).

LG didn’t say what US carrier will offer the Optimus Vu. But we’ve already heard that Verizon will do it. And we’ve even seen a Verizon-branded Optimus Vu with LTE in some leaked photos. So, yes, it looks like Verizon will indeed have the new Optimus soon.

Verizon’s Optimus Vu should run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, featuring a 5 inch display with 1024 x 768 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio), 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, and 32GB of internal memory.
