Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD could arrive in October

The Motorola Droid RAZR HD will be launched by Verizon in October at the earliest. Alongside this oft-leaked smartphone will sit a Droid RAZR MAXX HD, which will differ only by having a bigger battery (just like the case is with the Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX). This report comes from an alleged ‘very reliable source’ via Hot Hardware.

So if you’re longing for the RAZR HD, or even for the RAZR MAXX HD, you still have to be patient. Despite the myriad of leaks that have been going on since last year, these devices aren’t going to be launched imminently.

There is one thing to note. The October launch apparently is dependent on how the sales of the Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX will be going. So there still is a chance that this time frame could be modified. That does make it seem like the new phones themselves are ready, and Moto and Verizon are just holding back this launch for whatever reason. That would also explain the deluge of hands-on leaks we’ve seen over the past few weeks.

It will get lost in the buzz of the September IPhone release. Always been a Droid user, but this is getting to be tto much with Verizon. Not sure if the features are worth the wait.

OMG, October . They better upgrade these HD phones with jelly bean if they want to get any sales or, Moto is loosing out to I phone and Samsung.

I swear to fucking god if motorola waits until october to release this phone i am switching to apple and will hope failure for motorola from then on. this is absolutely horrible planning. who the fuck is calling the shots over there? a child? release the damn phone this week or you will be fucked by apple and you wont recover. And another thing. stop hiding your release dates like pussies. Its not cute, its not mysterious. it just shows poor business structure and unorganization. Ive been a droid fan since the original and i have remained steadfast since then. but motorola will lose its niche following if it doesnt cut the crap. they fail to see the infrastructure of how there phones get sold, and if they dont get a new name out there before the iphone it will be bad. It makes sense on no level to wait until after the iphone comes out.

I’ve been waiting to get a razr since last year, only to wait until ICS was on it, then to wait for the droid razr hd. If my guess is correct then JB will be released way later after the phone is out. Its original rumored specs were awesome, now not so much…alas I guess i’ll finally have to get on the ios bandwagon…doesn’t help that “Motorola Mobility, which was bought by Google Inc for $12.5 billion, will cut 20 percent of its workforce and shut nearly a third of its offices worldwide, Google said on Monday.” probably going to take some time to restructure the company

Motorola will be onevof the first devices for updates, now with the googl aquiring them. Stop bitching, switch to apple if you feel that way for features already existing on android devices. No rush for me moto, just deliver another Stella device!!

They’ll be obsolete shortly thereafter given that they’ve been ‘virtually’ available (for discussion purposes) for several months. I’m skipping these phones in favor of what follows them.
