Sprint Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE officially lands on August 19 for $199.99, pre-orders start today
The guessing game is officially over. Sprint has just announced that the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE will become available on August 19, just like we were expecting it to. It will be priced at $199.99 with a new two-year contract.
If you’re anxious to get your hands on one, you should know that the carrier has started taking pre-orders for this device today. And if you do pre-order (using this page), you may get the Photon Q in your hands a full two days before it launches.
The Photon Q 4G LTE is Sprint’s first 4G LTE smartphone to sport a full physical QWERTY keyboard. It’s also one of the best specced QWERTY devices ever, and an interesting move from Sprint in light of Verizon’s Droid series seemingly losing focus over there.
So, if you love QWERTY keyboards on your smartphones, this just may be your next. The Photon Q 4G LTE has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, an 8 MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, a secondary front-facing camera, and it runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
