Affordable LG Optimus L3 headed to Canada via Fido
Having already released the LG Optimus L7 in Canada, Fido is now getting ready to introduce another L-Style smartphone from LG: the Optimus L3.
Since the Optimus L7 is offered by Fido for free on contract, the L3 will certainly be free, too. It will come with Android Gingerbread, a 3.2 inch QVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, HSDPA, 3.2MP rear camera, 800MHz processor, 384MB of RAM, 1GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support. Mobile Syrup has it that Fido will launch the L3 before the end of September.
The LG Optimus L3 has recently received an update that brings QuickMemo to it. Unfortunately, the handset will not receive an Android 4.0 ICS update, since its hardware limitations only allow Android 2.3 Gingerbread to run smoothly.
