Asus starts updating the Transformer Pad TF300 to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Less than a month after Asus said it would bring Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to three of its tablets, the update for one of them is now being pushed over the air. The update is for the Asus Transformer Pad TF300, and users over in the US are reporting that it went live today.
Since Asus’ support webpage doesn’t list the Jelly Bean update, for now it’s just an OTA affair, so start checking your TF300. Apart from bringing Android 4.1.1 and its enhanced features, the new software build will reportedly disable Flash, as well as Wi-Fi Direct.
The other two Asus Android tablets that should get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean soon are the Transformer Pad Infinity, and the Transformer Prime.
