LG Optimus Black is officially upgradeable to Android 4.0 ICS
Not long after we told you that the LG Optimus 2X would get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich eventually, now we have news regarding the update for another LG smartphone, namely the Optimus Black.
Indian blog TechCovet has spotted the LG Optimus Black in a new retail package that clearly says the device is upgradeable to Android ICS. Exactly when the update will be released – that’s still unclear for now. But it’s good to see it confirmed.
Launched way back in May 2011 with Android 2.2 Froyo on board, the LG Optimus Black is currently running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Its features include a 4 inch WVGA IPS display, 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and 2GB of internal memory.
