Samsung Galaxy S III i9300 might get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as soon as next week
We recently told you that Samsung’s Galaxy S III would be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in late September. Fortunately, the update may arrive way sooner – at least for the international version of the S III.
According to Android Central, Samsung is getting ready to update the Galaxy S III GT-i9300 immediately after its August 29 event at IFA 2012 (where the new Galaxy Note 2 should be officially announced). Hence it could come before the end of next week. Reportedly, the update will go live in several countries, including the UK.
Most probably, the North American version of the Galaxy S III will get Jelly Bean soon, too. In case you want to see Android 4.1 already running on an S III, check out the video below:
The Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note are also going to be updated to Jelly Bean, but sometime after the S III.
