Quad-core LG Optimus G E973 shows up in live photos
Just yesterday, LG unveiled that it’s getting ready to release a new Android smartphone that would feature a second-generation quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU.
And today it looks like photos of the handset – expected to be called Optimus G – have already appeared on the web.
Mexican website AndroidMX says that what we’re seeing below is the Optimus G, which has the model number E973.
In case you didn’t find out yet, the Optimus G features a 4.7 inch IPS HD display, LTE connectivity, 2GB of RAM, and a 13MP rear camera. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at the moment, but it will certainly be updated to Jelly Bean at some point.
The Bluetooth SIG confirms that the LG E973 is an LTE smartphone, as well as the fact that it’s going to have several versions around the world: E975, E975K, E974, and E972. LG could announce the new quad-core handset next week at IFA 2012. We’ll certainly let you know if that happens.
