HTC Desire X (Proto) gets official, will be available next month
Unlike Samsung, which presented high-end devices in Berlin yesterday (including the Galaxy Note II, and the ATIV S), HTC chose to unveil a mid-end smartphone: the HTC Desire X.
Initially known as HTC Proto, the Desire X will be “affordable”, coming with a 4 inch S-LCD WVGA display, Beats Audio technology, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5MP rear camera with f/2.0, 28mm wide-angle lens and BSI sensor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, and 25GB of free storage on Dropbox (available only if you sign up for the offer before the end of 2013). The handset runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense UI.
HTC says the Desire X will be launched starting September “in selected markets across EMEA and Asia Pacific.”
