Sony Xperia T will be sold as The Bond Phone by O2 UK
O2 will start selling a special edition of the Sony Xperia T in the UK later this month. Called The Bond Phone, the O2-exclusive Xperia T will come with “exclusive James Bond packaging”, a 007 ringtone, themes, screensavers and images from Skyfall, – the newest Bond film that’s set to debut in the UK on October 26.
The Xperia T was chosen as The James Bond phone because it’s actually used by James Bond in Skyfall (which sort of makes sense, since Sony Pictures Entertainment is involved in the film’s production).
Curiously, O2’s Xperia T Bond Edition images show – again – AT&T’s logo at the bottom of the handset. We still don’t know if AT&T will release the new Xperia, too, but it’s clear that someone mixed up some press photos over at O2.
The Xperia T runs Android 4.0 ICS (upgradeable to Jelly Bean), and features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.6 inch HD display, 13MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. You can check out the handset here at O2.
