Waterproof Sony Xperia V launching in Europe in December?

While the Xperia T has already made its debut in Europe, the Xperia V (one of Sony’s other brand new smartphones) doesn’t look to be ready for prime time.

According to Swedish retailer Dustin, the Xperia V will be available starting December 3. Of course, this may be the case only in Sweden, so the handset could still be introduced in other markets earlier. Dustin asks 4,299 SEK (about €507, or $657) for a brand new Xperia V, but the price is likely to go down when the handset actually becomes available.

Like all the latest Sony smartphones, the Xperia V runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and will be updated to Jelly Bean at some point. The handset is IP57 certified (being dust and water resistant), and features LTE connectivity, a 4.3 inch HD display, 13MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory.
