MetroPCS officially gets the Samsung Galaxy S III
Back in July, we told you that MetroPCS would launch the Samsung Galaxy S III at some point. Now, the regional US carrier has officially confirmed this.
The Galaxy S III will be available at MetroPCS sometime in October. It’s not clear how much the handset will cost. However, until we hear more on the matter, MetroPCS gives customers the chance to win an S III – all you have to do is register here.
The Galaxy S III is already getting 4.1 Jelly Bean in Europe, but we don’t know what version of Android it will run when MetroPCS gets to launch it. In any case, this will be the carrier’s best smartphone ever, coming with a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display, LTE connectivity, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, and a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor.
