Nokia officially takes pre-orders for Lumia 920 and 820 in Europe. Prices are high
If you’re in Europe, and are among those considering buying a new Windows Phone 8 device, Nokia is ready to try and take your money. The Finnish company’s first two WP8 handsets – Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 – are now officially available to pre-order in three European markets.
In Germany, Nokia is asking €649 (about $836) for the Lumia 920, and €499 (about $645) for the Lumia 820. In Italy, the 920 is slightly cheaper (€599), while the price of the 820 is the same as in Germany. Russia is the third country where the two handsets can be pre-ordered as of today.
Both the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will start shipping in November. It remains to be seen if Nokia manages to make them more successful than the first line of Lumias.
