HTC 6435LVW (Verizon Droid Incredible X / Google Nexus 5) spotted at the GCF, LTE in tow

The rumored 5 inch HTC phablet, which should be officially unveiled soon, has been approved by the Global Certification Forum.

So now we can confirm that the device – model number 6435LVW – features LTE connectivity. We’re talking about LTE Band 13 here, hence the new device is perfect for Verizon Wireless, which might launch it under the name of Droid Incredible X.

A version of the HTC 6435LVW could be also released as a Google Nexus smartphone, possibly called Google Nexus 5.

If what we’ve heard until now is true, the 6435LVW’s 5 inch display will be a Full HD one (1920 x 1080 pixels). Other features should include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 12MP rear camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

HTC smartphone sales have been on a downward spiral lately, and the company’s Q3 2012 results are certainly a proof of that. But maybe this new 5 inch 6435LVW handset will help HTC to turn its fortunes around. We’ll see what happens when the device becomes official.
