Samsung Ativ S priced in the UK. Rogers will launch it in Canada
Although the Samsung Ativ S was unveiled in August – as the world’s first Windows Phone 8 device – it will become available at about the same time with the rest of the WP8 handsets announced after it, including the Nokia Lumia 920, and HTC 8X.
If you’re in the UK, you can pre-order the Ativ S as of now from Handtec, which asks £479.99 (about €594, or $770) for the 16GB version. The smartphone should start shipping in the first week of November, coming with a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and a dual-core 1.5GHz processor.
UK aside, customers in Canada will be also able to buy the Samsung Ativ S. According to Mobile Syrup, Rogers will sell the handset starting next month, alongside the aforementioned Nokia Lumia 920 and 8X by HTC. The price of Samsung Ativ S for the Canadian market hasn’t been unveiled.
