Black 64 GB Samsung Galaxy S III now up for pre-order in the UK, yours for £600
The famed black version of the Samsung Galaxy S III that comes with a whopping 64 GB of built-in storage space is now up for pre-order in the UK. You have to possess pretty deep pockets to buy it though.
This variant of Samsung’s excellently-selling smartphone was first talked about in August, and back then it was pegged for a release in October. Well, it definitely missed that deadline. Furthermore, it looks like it won’t be out for another couple of months.
Clove, the well known retailer of all things SIM-free and unlocked, now lists the 64 GB black Galaxy S III for no less than £600. There’s a catch, though. The company isn’t sure that it’s going to sell this model, since it doesn’t anticipate getting many orders for it. So if you’re interested, and would like Clove to sell this to you, you should really place a pre-order. In two weeks, the retailer will check how many pre-orders it got, and if that number is satisfactory, it will range the device. You won’t be charged until that decision to carry it or not will be made. The whole process is detailed in this blog post.
With a 64 GB microSDXC card added in for good measure, you could be looking at almost 128 GB of total storage space on this smartphone. And that, of course, is its only unique selling point (compared to lower-capacity models). But it might be very important to some.
