LG Optimus Regard now available at Cricket for $249.99
Cricket has added yet another Android-powered smartphone to its roster today. It’s the LG Optimus Regard. This is a rebranded and retooled version of the LG Motion 4G that MetroPCS is selling, and it’s obviously one more addition to the Optimus line – which is going the way of Samsung’s Galaxy brand real quick, with dozens of devices being added to it.
The LG Optimus Regard for Cricket comes with a 3.5-inch 320×480 touchscreen, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a VGA front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of built-in storage space, microSD slot, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1,700 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Optimus Regard can be bought from Cricket right now for $249.99 sans contract. That sounds like a great price at first. But buying this device only really makes sense if for some reason you just have to be a Cricket customer. Otherwise, it probably won’t be impossible for you to gather $50 more and go for an unlocked LG Nexus 4 – a high-end smartphone, not a midranger, plus one that will have incomparably better software support.
