More official-looking HTC Deluxe / DLX (international Droid DNA) images leak out, showing its colors
The HTC phablet codenamed Deluxe or DLX is going to be the internationally-sold version of the HTC Droid DNA for Verizon and the HTC J Butterfly for Japan. We first saw the Deluxe in a leaked press shot a week ago, and now we got even more (though slightly lower-res) official-looking pictures of the device showing all its angles. And all of its color variations, too.
As it turns out, the HTC Deluxe will be available in white, brown, and black (with red accents). When that will happen is unfortunately still a mystery at this point. However, the source of these leaked images claims that we’ll find out more about the Deluxe on December 6. So we’re taking that to mean that it will be announced on that date. Maybe HTC is scrambling to get it out before the end of the year, so it catches some of those lucrative holiday season sales.
Specs shouldn’t vary immensely (or actually, not at all) compared to the Droid DNA. There’s just one question about whether there will be just one LTE-capable version or two (the second being ‘just’ HSPA+ capable), but that’s about it in terms of unknowns regarding the phablet’s innards.
Deluxe almost certainly isn’t the name under which this device will end up being sold. Rather, it’s just a codename that HTC uses internally.
