Google Nexus 4 to be available on the Play Store once again in a few hours
Get your credit card ready, and make sure that your F5 button functions properly. In just a few hours, you, yes you, will have the opportunity to order an LG-made Google Nexus 4 smartphone from the Play Store.
This is US-only, unfortunately. At noon PST (which is in about five hours from when this is posted), or 3 pm ET, Google will restart the Nexus 4 sales on its online portal.
The Nexus 4 has been sold out for about a couple of weeks now. It first went on sale on November 13, but soon after that Google’s first batch of stock got depleted and the handset was backordered. It’s been sold out ever since, but today, if you’re in the US, you get another shot.
Another shot at what is probably the best Android smartphone ever made, if you can live with the glass back, lack of LTE connectivity, and possibly shoddy battery life (still miles better than the Galaxy Nexus, but obviously inferior to beasts such as the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX and its HD successor). It’s also incredibly priced, one can be yours for just $299 (with 8 GB of storage) or $349 (with 16 GB). That’s for an unlocked smartphone that comes with top of the line specs. No wonder it’s been more successful than Google anticipated.
Let’s hope this time around the Nexus 4 won’t get sold out within hours. Start your countdown clocks then…
