SIM free Nokia Lumia 820 now in stock in the UK
If you’re in the UK, you can now buy the Nokia Lumia 820 unlocked. Clove is selling Nokia’s second Windows Phone 8 handset for £399.98 (about €493), while Unlocked Mobiles lets you buy it for slightly less: £394.98.
At the moment, both are offering only the black version of the handset. Clove says the white Lumia 820 will be in stock starting December 1. Other colors (including red, yellow and blue) will arrive at a later date.
As reported at the beginning of the month, the Carphone Warehouse is also selling the Nokia Lumia 820. However, it doesn’t allow you to order it SIM free, but only on contract. Other British retailers – like Amazon and Expansys – are expecting to receive SIM free Lumia 820s next week.
The Lumia 820 features a 4.3 inch WVGA ClearBlack AMOLED display, LTE, dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support. Unlike the Lumia 920 (which is Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone 8 handset), the 820 doesn’t have a PureView camera, but a regular 8MP one with Carl Zeiss lens.
Earlier this month, the Lumia 820 was launched in the US, where AT&T is offering it for $49.99 on contract. Two variants of it – the Lumia 822 and Lumia 810 – are available via Verizon and T-Mobile, respectively.
