Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE (SCH-i925) coming soon to Verizon?

It looks like Verizon is getting ready to launch a new Android device made by Samsung. I’m talking about the Galaxy Note 10.1.

A Verzion-friendly version of the Note 10.1, which goes by the model number SCH-i925, has been spotted recently over at the Wi-Fi Alliance website (PDF file). The Note 10.1 SCH-i925 has received certification for using dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. As Blog of Mobile (in Japanese) points out, the tablet also has LTE, plus global 3G / GSM connectivity.

Of course, until Verizon officially announces the Note 10.1, we can’t be certain it will actually launch it. But there’s a pretty good chance this will happen eventually.

 

At the end of November, Verizon became the last major US carrier to start selling the other new Note – namely the Galaxy Note II SCH-I605, offered for $299.99 on contract. Sure enough, the Note II can’t be compared to the Note 10.1, which is a full-size tablet.

Currently, Verizon is stocking five other Samsung Android tablets: Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and the original 7 inch Galaxy Tab (the last two are available certified pre-owned, not new).

Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi-only edition of the Note 10.1 can be purchased via various US retailers for prices starting at $499.99 (16GB). The 32GB version costs slightly more: $549.99.
