New Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N5100 with Android Jelly Bean coming soon
At the moment, Samsung has three Galaxy Note devices: the original 5.3 inch Note N7000, the 5.5 inch Note II N7100, and the 10.1 inch Note N8000.
New Galaxy Note models will be released next year, and now we have info on one of them, called Samsung GT-N5100. The N5100 has been spotted over at GLBenchmark’s website (here).
Reportedly featuring a 7.7 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, the new tablet currently runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and features 3G connectivity and a 1.6GHz processor (which could be the same quad-core Exynos 4412 unit found in the Note II). The N5100 might end up being called Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but this remains to be seen.
Not long ago, we’ve heard that Samsung was working on a low-end Galaxy Note, alongside a 13.3 inch model, and a 6.3 inch Note III. With a quad-core processor, the N5100 is probably not the rumored low-end device. So we could see a total of four new Notes next year.
Most likely, the GT-N5100 will be officially unveiled by Samsung either at CES 2013, or at MWC 2013, and it could (or should, at least) run the newer Android 4.2 Jelly Bean at launch. In any case, we will certainly let you know when the tablet is unveiled.
