Samsung Galaxy S II Plus i9105 priced, launched in Taiwan. Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 cancelled?

Announced earlier this month as a slightly improved version of the Galaxy S II i9100 (introduced in 2011), the Galaxy S II Plus i9105 has been officially launched in Taiwan – which seems to be the first country to get it.

According to VR-Zone, the S II Plus costs 13,900 TWD in Taiwan. That’s about $474, or €352. It looks like only the blue version of the handset is available starting this month, while the white one should be released in February.

Running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the Galaxy S II Plus i9105 features a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 800 x 480 pixels, TouchWiz UI 5.0, HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front-facing camera, dual-core 1.2GHz Broadcom processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 1,650 mAh battery. You can check out the handset here at Samsung Taiwan’s official website.

In other Samsung news, Sam Mobile is reporting that the South Korean company has cancelled the release of the new Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, which was supposed to debut at MWC 2013 next month. However, Samsung will introduce a new Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, and possibly also a Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (but this depends on the success of the Galaxy Note 8.0). We’ll bring more details as we get them.
