Vodafone UK has officially hopped onto the Windows Phone 8 bandwagon today, as it started to sell no less than five devices running Microsoft’s latest mobile platform. The five WP8 devices that you can find in Vodafone stores starting today are the Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 820, and Lumia 620, and the HTC 8X and 8S. Full pricing details have been released, so let’s dive in.
If you’re interested in the Nokia Lumia 920, you should know that you can get it for £42 per month using the Red Data plan for no upfront cost. That offering includes unlimited calls, unlimited texts, and 2 GB of data each month.
The midrange Lumia 820 can be yours for free on a £33 per month contract, bringing you unlimited calls, unlimited texts, and 1 GB of data.
The low-end Lumia 620 can be had for free for a £21 cost per month, which comes with 300 minutes, unlimited texts, and 250 MB of data.
The HTC 8X is offered on the £33 per month plan for free upfront, with the exact same benefits as those listed for the Nokia Lumia 820.
The midrange HTC 8S is obviously even more affordable, being free on a £21 per month contract, which includes everything listed above for the Lumia 620.
All of these are 24-month agreements, mind you. It’s interesting to note that HTC’s devices are slightly more affordable than Nokia’s competitors. Then again, the Finns are most associated with Windows Phone, so maybe they want to milk that branding advantage as much as possible.
Anyway, if you’re interested in WP8 hardware, Vodafone is now game.
