LG Optimus L5 II E450 to be launched in North America, Europe, Asia

Part of LG’s new L Series II family (officially announced earlier this week), the Optimus L5 II E450 is a mid-end smartphone. LG didn’t say where, an neither when the handset would be available.

But – thanks to the Bluetooth SIG – we now know that the L5 II will be released in North America, as well as in Europe and Asia. It remains to be seen if the device reaches both the US and Canada, or only one of these North American markets (it wouldn’t be the first time when an LG smartphone is launched just in Canada, or just in the US).

We don’t have a complete list of features for the Optimus L5 II. However, it’s known that it runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, coming with a 4 inch WVGA display, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 1GHz processor, PowerVR SGX531 GPU, and MicroSD card support.

Like the other two new L Series devices, the Optimus L5 II will have a dual SIM version (model number E455).

The first generation of L Series handsets (including the Optimus L9, L7, L5 and L3) has reached sales of more than 15 million units worldwide.

LG will showcase the Optimus L7 II, L5 II and L3 II at MWC 2013 later this month.
