Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy Y Plus GT-S5303 unveiled
While everyone is waiting for Samsung to officially unveil the Galaxy S4 flagship in Ney York City later this evening, the company has also found the time to release several low-end smartphones in other parts of the world.
We’ve seen the Galaxy Star and Galaxy Pocket Neo being introduced in Africa yesterday, and now we’ve discovered that a Samsung Galaxy Y Plus appears over at Samsung India’s official website.
The Y Plus has the model number GT-S5303, and is a slightly improved Galaxy Y Duos Lite GT-S5302 (released in September last year, and also known as Galaxy Pocket Duos). The new handset runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and features a 2.8 inch QVGA display, dual SIM capabilities, HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 2MP rear camera, 850MHz single-core processor, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 1,200 mAh battery.
Unlocked, the Galaxy Y Plus will cost about 8,000 INR ($147) in India, and should be available for purchase there pretty soon. There is no word on when it’s going to be released in other markets.
