New Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and Note III expected to be announced at IFA 2013
According to Sam Mobile and an undisclosed “insider”, the new devices will only be introduced in the second half of the year – more exactly, during IFA 2013 (6 – 11 September), in Berlin.
If we’re to believe previous rumors, there are going to be at least two significantly different versions of the new Tab 3: a regular 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab 3 (model numbers GT-P5200 and GT-P5210), and a 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab 3 Plus (GT- P8200, GT- P8210, GT- P8220) that should sport a 2560 x 1600 pixels display – yes, similar to the Google Nexus 10.
As for the Galaxy Note III, it will reportedly have a Full HD display not larger than 6 inches – although there will be a 6.3 inch Samsung device, too, but this just isn’t a high-end product. Other Note III features should include LTE connectivity, and an octa-core Exynos processor like the one used in some Galaxy S4 units. The new Note could look a lot like the Note II, seen below.
Both the Tab 3 and Note III are going to run at least Android 4.2 Jelly Bean at launch (they might even run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie). Also, both should be widely available around the world – probably not long after Samsung finally announces them.
