Acer Liquid E1 priced, launching this month
Liquid E1, the new Android smartphone announced by Acer in February, is launching this month in Taiwan, where it costs 8,900 TWD (about $299, or €231).
The E1 has been also priced in the UK. Retailer Expansys asks £174.99 ($265 or €206) for it, but doesn’t mention when it can ship it.
Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Acer Liquid E1 features a 4.5 inch IPS display with 960 x 540 pixels, HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, DTS Sound, dual speakers, VGA front-facing camera, 5MP rear camera with Flash, 1GB of RAM, dual-core 1GHz processor, 4GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card slot (supporting up to 32GB). The handset measures 132 x 68.5 x 9.9 mm, and comes with a 1,760 mAh battery that can provide a talk-time of up to 8 hours. As you can see in the image below, the E1 has two color versions: black and white.
Acer’s other new dual SIM Android smartphone announced this year, the Liquid Z2, should be also available starting this month. We don’t know how much it’s going to cost, but it will be cheaper than the E1, since it only comes with a 3.5 inch HVGA display.
Both the Liquid E1 and Z2 will be available in various markets, including France, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Russia and Ukraine.
