Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330 gets Android Jelly Bean
Samsung has started rolling out an Android 4.1.2 update to one of its lower-end smartphones released last year: the Galaxy Chat B5330.
Reportedly, the update is available only in Spain for now (via KIES), but should arrive in other markets pretty soon.
The Galaxy Chat B5330 was launched in August 2012 with Android Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Its features include a 3 inch touchscreen display with 320 x 240 pixels, full QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA, GPS with Glonass, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 2MP rear camera, 850 MHz processor, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support (up to 32GB), and a 1,200 mAh battery. Since it is not a dual-core handset, the Chat B5330 will most probably not get Android 4.2.
The B5330 isn’t the only Galaxy smartphone to have a full QWERTY keyboard below its display. As you may already know, the South Korean company has also introduced the Galaxy Pro and Galaxy Y Pro in 2011. These, however, will remain running the old Android Gingerbread.
