Huge Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 coming soon sans Fonblet branding
The gigantic Samsung Galaxy Fonblet that has so far been rumored not once, but twice, is actually not one device, but two. And thankfully, neither is apparently going to launch bearing the Fonblet moniker. It may have just been an internal codename or something like that.
The first rumor we heard about the Fonblet talked about a 5.8-inch screen and GT-i9152 model number, while the second rumor detailed a 6.3-inch device with GT-i9200 as the model number. It turns out both were true, as both handsets are going to arrive soon. They’ll be called Galaxy Mega. Supposedly then we’re looking at the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3, if Samsung goes with the naming scheme it uses for tablets.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 will have dual-SIM support, at least that’s what its model number (i9152) implies – since Samsung uses model numbers ending in 2 for its Duos devices.
The Galaxy Mega 6.3 may just be the biggest phone that the gamepad accessory revealed with the Galaxy S4 was meant to accommodate. If you remember, we then speculated that Samsung may have leaked the screen size for its next Galaxy Note (since we had heard one rumor mention this exact size). It turns out it was probably the Galaxy Mega 6.3 that was thought about at that point.
The Galaxy Mega 5.8 will arrive in white in week 22, according to SamMobile. That’s the week that starts on May 27, by the way. The bigger Mega 6.3 is expected in black and white around week 25, so from June 17.
