New HTC First leaked, doesn’t seem to run Android or Windows Phone
Just a couple of days before HTC is supposed to unveil a brand new Facebook phone (codenamed Myst), another interesting and obviously unannounced device, seemingly called HTC First, has appeared on the web.
Evleaks has posted a render of the HTC First, and the curious thing about it is that it doesn’t show an Android home button. And neither any sings of Windows Phone presence, either. There’s a back button, though, as well as round home key, and another key that’s probably for Menu.
So what could this HTC First be? Maybe it’s exactly the Facebook-loving Myst, and “First” is its commercial name. We’ll find out if that’s the case on April 4.
Regardless of what OS it runs, the HTC First doesn’t seem to be a high-end device. At least not if you compare its bezel with the very thin bezel found on the HTC One. Overall, the new handset kind of looks like the mid-end HTC Desire P that was announced in Asia recently (although its earpiece is smaller).
We’ll bring more details on this as we get them.
