4.7″ Super AMOLED dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy Win spotted in Vietnam, out in May
Samsung is preparing yet another Android-powered smartphone. This one was caught in Vietnam, with full specs listed as well as official-looking press renders. It’s called Galaxy Win, its model number is GT-I8552, and it has dual-SIM support.
The Galaxy Win is no next flagship device, in fact it’s a midranger that will probably sit in Samsung’s portfolio right above the Galaxy S II Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy Win comes with a 4.7-inch 480×800 Super AMOLED touchscreen, a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, a 5 MP rear camera, a VGA front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 21 Mbps HSPA, dual-SIM support, a microSD card slot, and a 2,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, naturally with Samsung’s TouchWiz / Nature UX skin on top.
This smartphone should be out in Vietnam in May, priced at “less than 10 million” Vietnamese dong, which amounts to approximately $480 or €374.
The Galaxy Win has some decent specs, but is hindered somewhat by the low resolution screen, AMOLED as it may be. Hopefully the price will be much lower than the aforementioned threshold, otherwise this may have a tough time selling. Then again, it is dual-SIM, so that may make up for its shortcomings.
