AT&T details Samsung Galaxy S4 pricing: $199 (16GB model) and $249 (32GB)
AT&T has already announced that its Samsung Galaxy S4 would be available for pre-order starting April 16, for $249.99 on contract. However, this $249.99 seemed a price on the high side, even if we’re talking about a high-end flagship smartphone here.
So today AT&T has made it clear that $249.99 is what you’d have to pay for the Galaxy S4 32GB. The 16GB edition will cost $199.99 – the same price the carrier is going to sell the HTC One 32GB for.
AT&T still didn’t say when it would start shipping the Galaxy S4. In any case, it could happen before the end of April. You can register for more details here at the carrier’s website.
US Cellular is also going to accept pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 on April 16. T-Mobile will sell the handset starting May 1. Verizon and Sprint have yet to decide when they’re going to offer the new smartphone – “pretty soon” is probably a good guess anyway.
The US edition of the Galaxy S4 doesn’t use Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa 5410 processor, but Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 600. CPUs aside, it’s not different from the Exynos version, featuring Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a 5 inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, NFC, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, MicroSD card support, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
