HTC One Developer Edition launching on April 19
Last month, when HTC unveiled that it would offer a Developer Edition of its One flagship smartphone in the US, it didn’t mention when the device would be launched.
Luckily, it looks like an HTC spokesperson talked about the One Developer Edition during Facebook’s HTC First announcement event. According to Android and Me, the spokesperson said the handset would go on pre-order the next few days, and should ship starting April 19 – the same day when AT&T and Sprint will also release the One.
The HTC One Developer Edition will cost $649, coming with SIM and bootloader unlocked, and open APIs. Mind you, the device has 64GB of internal memory – AT&T is asking $299.99 on contract for its One 64GB.
HTC didn’t specify what color versions the One Developer Edition has. It remains to be seen if it will come in silver, black and red – like the regular edition (which is already available in some markets, including the UK and Germany).
Both the regular HTC One and the Developer Edition run Android Jelly Bean, featuring LTE connectivity, a 4.7 inch Super LCD3 Full HD display, Beats Audio, 2.1MP front-facing camera, 4MP Ultrapixel rear camera, 2GB of RAM, and a quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor.
